GameStop has reported made $1.73 billion USD in sales during the second quarter of 2014. Hardware sales have gone up 124.8 percent, which the game retailer say is due to high demand for Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One consoles. CFO Rob Lloyd explained that the the second quarter demonstrates the power of the new console cycle and that the next few months are filled with exciting games and products coming to market.
