YouTuber "Angry Joe" Vargas is done creating content with Nintendo games do to a copyright claim over his recent Mario Party 10 video. His most recent video, "Angry Joe Plays Mario Party 10!," was posted over the weekend, but Vargas removed it after he received the claim. In the video below Vargas says that he's spent around $900 on his Wii U gaming setup, which includes the system, controllers, games, and more. But he laments that Nintendo, unlike other major gaming companies, "need to monetize when I share my play sessions." This video comes in the wake of Nintendo's introduction of a new YouTube policy called the Creators Program. Billed as a program that would allow YouTubers such as Angry Joe to share advertising revenue with Nintendo for videos containing Nintendo content, it has faced heavy criticism from popular streamers. One major restriction of Nintendo's new Creators Program is that YouTubers are only eligible to earn ad dollars for select games. As you might have guessed, Mario Party 10 is NOT on the approved list. Vargas isn't anti-Nintendo. In fact, he says he's had more fun playing his Wii U than his Xbox One or PlayStation 4 combined, and regularly recommends that people buy the console.
