Amazon will celebrate its 20th anniversary next week. To mark the milestone, the company has announced plans for a massive sale. For 1 day only on July 15, Amazon will introduce "Prime Day." The retailer is calling it a "global shopping event" that will offer "more deals than Black Friday." The sale will be exclusive to Amazon Prime members in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, and Austria. Deals will start at midnight on July 15, with new offers coming online as frequently as every 10 minutes. Amazon did not say what items will be discounted. Benefits include free 2-day shipping, access to the Amazon Instant Video Collection and the ad-free Amazon Music catalog.
