Allison Road Kickstarter Cancels, Joins Publisher Team17

Lilith Ltd the developer for Allison Road announced that the indie horror game is canceling its Kickstarter campaign in favor of a new partnership with publisher Team17. The publisher is most widely known as the developer behind the Worms franchise, and publisher of games like the recent Beyond Eyes and The Escapists series. “For us it’s an incredible opportunity to be part of a label that looks after not only such a massive gaming franchise, but also supports developers like Playtonic, Mouldy Toof, and many others,” the developer said in their most recent Kickstarter update. “Working with Team17 will give us the chance to make our game unhindered creatively, but at the same time will give us the resources, support, and experience that only a 25 year-old studio can give.” No money will be taken for backers who backed the Allison Road Kickstarter, but the developer states that it will look for ways to involve supporters in the game at a later date. I myself as a backer of the Allison Road Kickstarter was a little disappointed as I wanted to help Allison Road be released.
