Valve”s co-founder Gabe Newell has spoken about Steam Machines and consoles. In an interview with Broaden Online, Newell spoke about how Steam Machines are better than present consoles. “At console value points,” he said, “we”re going to have machines like Alienware”s, which can be quicker than today”s consoles. So the similar value point as today, apart from you recover functionality and you”re attached to the entirety you favor about the computer and the Internet.” “Our belief is that consumers are at all times going to make the most efficient alternatives for what they want,” persisted Newell. “We can knock down the barriers that stay computer gaming out of the living room, and then consumers can make a decision what they want.
