The latest rumor about the next generation iPhone suggests the headphone jack will be no more. Japanese site Macotakara, states the decision to remove the headphone jack will be a result of Apple trying to make the phone 1 mm thinner than the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Why Apple is continuing to make the phone thinner and thinner every year is beyond me. Apple should be more focused on making a good a stable OS and phone rather then making it thinner. Of course there is away bluetooth headphones but I actually see Apple getting rid of the headphone jack. Why I think this you may ask ? The MacBook is my main reason for having this theory. Apple only has one port on the MacBook and it’s use for everything, power, HDMI, headphone jack, etc. They could do the same exact thing with the iPhone by using the lighting port as the only port on the phone. This would also lead to Apple making money with extra accessory purchases. Everything makes too much sense for them not to do this, yes it would suck but as we’ve seen over the years Apple does there own thing. Still, this is a rumor and we properly won’t hear anything official until September 2016. What do you think of the next iPhone not having a headphone jack ?
