Sony has announced its financial performance for the quarter ending December 31, 2015. Revenues for the gaming segment of the company increased by 10.5%, attributable to 8.4 million PlayStation 4 consoles shipped to retail in the quarter and an increase in PS4 software. Sony announced at the beginning of the month that life to date sales have reached 35.9 million. Sony does not mention PlayStation 3 and PS Vita shipments in its documentation.
