Nintendo Stopping Wii U Production By The End Of 2016
Japanese news outlet The Nikkei, is reporting that Nintendo is ceasing Wii U production by the end of 2016 to presumably make way for their next platform, which is currently known as the Nintendo NX. The publication cites poorly selling software and a lack of interest in the hardware as the reason why production is ceasing. It should be noting that Nintendo is not abandoning the Wii U, they will still be supporting the Wii U. Nintendo is just stopping production of the Wii U to make room for the NX.
