Nvidia has announced its latest graphics cards, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070. The GTX 1080 is the first GPU based on Nvidia's Pascal architecture, and is built with a focus on the demands of VR performance. Thanks to the new architecture, the GeForce GTX 1080 offers major performance improvements over the Titan X by Nvidia. The GPU uses its brand new technology that requires less power to deliver 2x the performance and 3x the efficiency of the Titan X. The GPUs were previously designed to project 3D models onto single screens, now with modern gaming setups like 4K displays, multiple monitors and VR headsets, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 was designed with the new simultaneous multi-projection technology. Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1080 "Founders Edition" will be available on May 27 for USD $700 and the GeForce GTX 1070 will be available on June 10 for USD $450.
