A Pokemon GO player is claiming to have acquired the legendary bird, Articuno. The owner of the Articuno, kaitcovey via a Pokemon Go Facebook group claims to have been sent the legendary bird from the game’s developer Niantic after contacting them about an issue. Kaitcovey provided a video (which you can see below) which shows Articuno as a gym leader. This is confirmed by a Reddit thread of users claiming to have seen the same gym with Articuno and kaitcovey. I really want to believe this and want it to be real, but I have to call fake on it. First why would Niantic just give he a free Articuno ? That in itself doesn’t make any sense to me. Also the potato quality cell phone video she gives of “proof” isn’t very convincing. Lat but not least anybody can fake anything these days. Until I hear from Niantic themselves I’m not buying this. What do you think ?
