Ubisoft has announced that Rocksmith 2014 Edition Remastered will be releasing on October 4, 2016. Why they’re releasing a remaster of a game from 2014 in 2016 and not changing the name is beyond me. While that certainly would be confusing for most people, Ubisoft has done nothing to really clarify the details. This "new" version will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $60 (wow lol) and a free update to existing players. This "remastered" version will include 6 news songs over the original release. The songs are as follows:
- "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley & The Wailers
- "Suspicious Minds" by Elvis Presley
- "Some Nights" by Fun
- "I Want You Back" by The Jackson 5
- "Hey Ya!" by Outkast
- "Drops of Jupiter" by Train
In order to get theses song you MUST purchase the remaster version, they are not apart of the free update. However, they will be available as standalone DLC down the road. Why Ubisoft is doing this (besides making some easy money) makes so sense. They should just make a 2016 / 2017 version of the game. What are your thoughts on Ubisoft doing this ?
