Sony has announced that worldwide shipments for the PlayStation 4 have topped 60 million units as of March 31, 2017. 20 million PlayStation 4 units were sold during the fiscal year, which ran from April 1, 2016 until March 31, 2017. Sony forecasts it will ship 18 million PlayStation 4 units in the next fiscal year ending March 31, 2018. That would bring lifetime shipments to 78 million units. The company said it expects its games business to see profits up just over 25% in 2017.
