Apple’s making it easier to trade-in an older iPhone for a new one. The company now offers a mail-in option for the iPhone Upgrade program. The policy change, as noted on the iPhone Upgrade program website, reads:
You can either have a Trade-in Kit sent to you and return it by mail or trade in your current iPhone when you pick up your new iPhone at an Apple Store. A Specialist will help you complete your trade in, and setup and transfer data to your new iPhone.
The iPhone Upgrade program originally required you to return your phone to an Apple Store.
