Blizzard revealed that Diablo II: Resurrected arrives on September 23, 2021 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC. An open beta for the game is scheduled to take place in August, allowing players to take on the roles of Amazon, Paladin, Druid, Sorceress, and Barbarian. Assassin and Necromancer won’t be available until launch.
Diablo II: Resurrected comes in two different versions, one being the standalone core game at a suggested retail price of $39.99 or as part of the Diablo Prime Evil Collection. The Collection comes with Diablo II: Resurrected, Diablo III with Reaper of Souls and the Necromancer DLC, and a Mephisto pet and Hatred’s Grasp wings for Diablo III. Essentially, this lets you pick up Diablo II: Resurrected with Diablo III and all of its content for $20 more.
Diablo II: Resurrected contains Diablo II and the Lord of Destruction expansion, and includes some quality of life improvements over the original. Preordering the game gives players early access to the open beta coming in August.
