Overwatch 2 Enters Early Access In October, PvP Is Free To Play

Blizzard Entertainment had a lot to show off for Overwatch 2, including a new character and when it will go into Early Access, October 4.

Overwatch 2's PvP component will be free-to-play when it enters Early Access, allowing users to play matches with or against friends for free. It'll also feature a new character dubbed The Junker Queen, who has her own cinematic trailer in which she introduces her Mad-Max-meets-punk-rock persona in a handicap battle versus some nasty-looking chaps. The Junker Queen slaughters other heroes on the OW battlefield with an ax and a shotgun. On June 16, Blizzard will have an Overwatch 2 reveal event, and we'll hear more about her. 

Overwatch 2 will receive frequent content updates from Blizzard, including new maps, modes, characters, and more. Overwatch 2 will be available in Early Access for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC simultaneously.
