YouTube And Maps Will Soon Be Gone From PlayStation Vita

Sony has announced that it is ending support for a few PlayStation Vita apps. The system's YouTube app will vanish from the PlayStation Store on January 28, and will no longer be supported after April 20. Users can still watch YouTube videos on their PS Vita through the system's browser, complete with playlists and channels. Also the Maps app along with all features of the app, and some features of the PS Vita's Near app will be disabled through a March 2015 software update. Sony notes that the removal and disablement of the PS Vita's YouTube and Maps apps will not affect gameplay in any way. Sony did not provide any explanation for why it is removing the apps.
