Apple Brings New Intel CPU’s To MacBook Air and Pro

Today Apple brings Intel’s latest Broadwell Core i5 and Core i7 processors to the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, beefing up both laptops with additional CPU and graphics power. The updated MacBook Airs are shipping today with Intel’s HD Graphics 6000 GPUs, which are smaller,faster, and capable of superior shading. Also shipping today is the updated 13″ MacBook Pro, which will get the new Force Touch trackpad introduced in the all-new 12″ MacBook today, as well as faster flash memory and 10-hour battery life. Here’s how much they’ll cost 

13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display
  • $1,299 — 2.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB flash storage
  • $1,499 — 2.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB flash storage
  • $1,799 — 2.9 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 512GB flash storage
MacBook Air

11-inch
  • $899 — 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB flash storage
  • $1,099 — 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 256GB flash storage
13-inch

  • $999 - 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB flash storage
