Nintendo is staring to be known for there self-referential humor, but this morning the humor reached a new level. Nintendo announced the hire of a new vice president of sales., Bowser. Not the one you’re thinking of but the joke was still a good one. Doug Bowser spent over 7 years at EA in global planning. In that position, he was responsible for forecasting sales of titles across platforms. At Nintendo, Bowser will handle the company’s North American sales at retail and point of purchase marketing. He’ll also be involved with the Nintendo World Store in New York City. Maybe he can help with the on going Amiibo issue.
