Street Fighters Ryu And Fire Emblems Roy Are Joining Smash Bros For Wii U/3DS

Leaked footage showing off Ryu from Street Fighter and Roy from Fire Emblem as playable
characters in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has recently been posted. The leak was a result of hackers exploiting a Japanese update for the games that went up earlier than expected, according to sources. The update also contained images of a Splatoon trophy, costumes from Virtua Fighter, Tekken, Mega Man and Animal Crossing, and some new stages such as DreamLand 64. The biggest thing that was uncovered were the two victory videos showing Ryu and Roy in action. This leak comes shortly before Nintendo's pre-E3 Super Smash Bros. presentation, where plans for new DLC for Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS would be discussed. Allegedly, news about Ryu and Roy joining the roster was going to be a part of that presentation. An update that adds fan-favorite Lucas, from Mother 3, and Splatoon Mii fighter costumes is scheduled to go live on June 14.

UPDATE 6/14/15 - Ryu, Roy and all the other costumes are confirmed for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. You can download them now. See all the characters and costumes in action in the video below.
