HTC Vive Price Revealed….R.I.P Vive ?

HTC has revealed via a blog post the price for there virtual reality headset, the Vive. The consumer edition of the VR headset will cost $799 and ship in early April with 2 wireless controllers. Two games will come included with the bundle, Fantastic Contraption and Job Simulator: The 2050 Archives. Preorders for the headset will open at 10 A.M. ET on February 29.

I really don’t see VR becoming a big thing, as I’ve said perviously. I really can’t justify spending $600 to $800 on a VR headset I’ll only use once in a while. I understand that there’s a lot of tech be hide the headsets and in return the price for them is so high, but they aren’t cellphones or computers where we can use them anytime and anywhere. Here’s hope that Sony’s PlayStation VR is cheaper, though after seeing both prices for the Oculus and the Vive, I’m starting to lose hope. What do you think ? Would you buy the HTC Vive for $800 ?
