Hideo Kojima Won’t Be Making A New Game Engine

For the past couple of months, Hideo Kojima has been traveling across the world, meeting with other game developers and visiting studios. Kojima was to look at what kind of development tech and tools were available and what tools he should use. The Fox Engine that powered Metal Gear Solid V took forever to make, which means creating MGSV took forever too. “I honestly think it’s better to make your own engine and tools,” said Kojima at the Nordic Game 2016 festival (via IGN). “However, since I want people to play this first title as soon as possible, we’re going to use a third-party engine, tune it for our needs, and create with that.” All I know is I can’t wait for Kojimas next game. What do you think of Kojima using a third party engine ?
