Ace Combat franchise director Kazutoki Kono announced in a letter to fans that Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is being delayed into 2018. The game was original planned to release at towards the end of this year. Kono cites the need to "perfect and optimize" the game, and particularly how the PS4, Xbox One and PC allows the team to dig into the title's visual fidelity.
