In a conference call regarding Apple’s financial results for its fiscal 2017 third quarter that ended July 1, CEO Tim Cook said that Apple tallied its highest global tablet market share in 4 years, according to research firm IDC. Cook added that iPad sales up were 32% year-over-year in the U.S. education market, in which Apple sold over one million tablets. iPad sales also grew across all geographic segments, with strong double-digit growth in countries including the US, France, and China.
