Apple has released a new firmware update for the AirPods Pro, upgrading the previous firmware, version 2C54 or 2B588, to the new firmware, 2D15. However, there’s no info on what the update does.
To implement the upgrade, place your AirPods Pro in the charing case with the case plugged in and charging. An iOS or iPadOS device paired with the AirPods Pro must be next to the case; the firmware update should start automatically. To make sure the earbuds are indeed updated:
* With the AirPods Pro paired with your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
*Tap General.
* Tap About.
* Scroll down and tap AirPods Pro.
Now check the number next to Firmware Version to see if the AirPods Pro is running firmware version 2D15.
